Board of Trustees

The SMCS Board of Trustees' areas of focus include increasing visibility and communication, evaluating the system superintendent, facilitating third-source fundraising for the system and developing growth opportunities.

Curriculum and education issues are the responsibility of the schools led by our school principals. Each principal works closely with and under the direction of the system president, who is responsible for keeping the board informed.

The board includes the pastoral leaders from each of the five parishes in Neenah and Menasha and members who are selected and appointed by the board’s governance committee. Terms of service for the SMCS Board of Trustees are three years, with a maximum of two consecutive terms (six consecutive years).

Board Meetings

The board is scheduled to meet at St. Mary Catholic High School on the third Wednesday of every month, except July. Board meetings are open to the public. Anyone desiring to speak during the open forum at the beginning of the meeting needs to inform the school president or board chairman at least two days prior to the meeting.
